🤯 Jackets are not made from Shell Cordovan! I have searched all the sites from the first few Google pages for the keyword “Shell Cordovan leather jacket”. There are no Shell Cordovan jackets, just accept that fact.
There are jackets for sale online that are made of Horween Chromexcel leather or burgundy leather (it is similar in color to Horween Shell Cordovan #8). Just read the information on the product cards carefully and ask the seller questions.
Reasons:
- Very high cost of Shell Cordovan,
- Small pieces of Shell Cordovan oval irregular shape (it will not be possible to carve out whole details for the jacket),
- Cordovan is a very durable and hard material. A Shell Cordovan jacket is very uncomfortable to wear.
But I am sure that you will be able to order custom made Shell Cordovan jacket. All you need to do is find a good craftsman and have enough money to pay for it.
All the discussion you’ll find on Google for “shell cordovan leather jacket” is about the Horween Chromexel leather jacket (I’ve attached a photo of this jacket to the post). It is vegetable tanned cowhide leather. It is NOT Shell Cordovan! The confusion arises because of the color “#8”, this burgundy color was not only in Shell Cordovan.
